FILMING
On the day of the filming we will come and set up our cameras and recording equipment and our friendly team will make sure you are comfortable and at ease.
We will record in multiple sessions (approx 30 mins) and have short breaks in between recording sessions. Usually we end up with approximately 2-3 hours footage.
Our experienced interviewer will guide you through the conversation, using the information gathered during the planning stage to ask thoughtful follow-up questions that help bring your story to life naturally and in your own words. We'll also photograph or scan any prints or memorabilia you'd like to include that aren't already available in digital format.

EDITING
We will carefully edit your memoir film, weaving together your interview, photographs and memories into a polished, engaging production.
The finished film will include carefully selected background music, an opening and closing sequence, titles, graphics and your photographs.
Where appropriate, we also incorporate historical or stock video footage that we source from archives, or we can help arrange for old cine film and videotapes to be professionally digitised (additional charges may apply).
Before your film is finalised, you'll receive a preview copy to review. This gives you the opportunity to check names, dates and other details, and to request any final adjustments before the finished version is produced.
Most memoir films have a running time of approximately 70–100 minutes, although the final length will depend on the amount of material included.

Once you've approved your finished film, you'll receive a digital copy on USB in a beautiful, personalised presentation box.
We also securely host a copy of your film online, so you can share it with family and friends whenever you choose. You remain in control of who can view your film and who has access to this treasured part of your family's history.
